Function and Application of Distribution Box

1. Power distribution box is a device for managing, monitoring and controlling power distribution lines in factories, mines, construction sites, buildings and other places, and has two functions of protection and monitoring.

2. In industrial and civil buildings, distribution boxes are used for the installation of various distribution equipment (lighting, power cables, communication cables and grounding, etc.).

Structure of distribution box

(3) Circuit breaker: It is the control and protection switch apparatus in the low-voltage distribution system. Its main function is to cut off or close the normal current in the circuit, and it is an essential part of the distribution system.

(4) Fuse: mainly used in three-phase AC system, it is the use of fuse wire work, play overload and short-circuit protection.

(5) Load switch: also known as leakage protector, its role is to automatically disconnect the circuit in the event of line failure, play a protective role.

(6) Leakage circuit breaker: When the load occurs a short circuit fault, the leakage circuit breaker can automatically cut off the short circuit before the short circuit current passes through, so as to avoid more serious accidents.

Distribution box installation

1、 The distribution box must have two directional operation holes for easy operation, maintenance and replacement of parts.

2、 The distribution box shall be checked before installation to ensure that it is in good working condition.

3、 When installing an electric distribution box, the installation environment shall be checked to make sure that there is no obstacle or harmful gas.

4、 Before installation, the distribution box body shall be drawn up according to the external size of the distribution box, and the various electrical components of the distribution box shall be arranged in a classified manner.

5、 The distribution box shall be installed according to the distribution circuit and control circuit, and then be fixed and assembled. During the fixing process, the door of the box shall be locked tightly.

6、 The box body shall be in close contact with the electric components.

7、 The metal frame in the distribution box shall be well grounded and shall not be damaged; and the bolts for connecting ground wires shall be tightened.

8、 Distribution boxes shall be waterproof.

Use and maintenance of distribution box

1. The distribution cabinet is a kind of distribution box for protecting lines and equipment.

2. Role of distribution boxes

(1) Be responsible for the distribution and control of current, protection and distribution of various electrical equipment.
