Miniature Circuit Breakers: Keeping Your Safety Circuits Safe

Overview

MCB mini- circuit breaker is a multi-functional AC low-voltage circuit breaker, with overload, short circuit, undervoltage and strong breaking ability.

1. Structural characteristics

  • It is composed of transmission mechanism and contact system;
  • Transmission mechanisms are divided into automatic and manual ones;
  • There are two types of contact systems, one is the traditional contact, the other is the adjustable spring operating mechanism contact.

2. Technical performance

  • It has the characteristics of overload, short circuit, undervoltage and strong breaking capacity;
  • It has the characteristics of reliable contact and long -term open circuit.

3. Conditions for use

  •  Installation method: fixed installation, flange installation;
  •  Insulation method: three poles;
  •  Suitable for AC 50Hz, rated insulation voltage is 630V ~ 690V, rated current is 60A ~ 1000A.

 

Scope of Application

MCB mini- circuit breakers are mainly applicable to the inlet and outlet of various distribution networks, mainly including:

  • Lighting distribution circuit.
  • It is applicable to the power distribution system as the protection for overload and short circuit of lines;
  • It is applicable to all kinds of motor starting and braking protection.
  • It is applicable to the control of electricity consumption systems, such as lighting, television, telephone and computer;
  • It is applicable to the places that are not frequently changed or used in sections.
  • It is mainly used for line protection (over-current protection), and provides protection function of rapidly cutting off the fault current for the short-circuit fault in the circuit;
  • Can be used as motor starting and braking devices;
  • It can be used for overload and short circuit protection of power supply equipment;
  • It can be used to protect motor and transformer from overload and undervoltage.

 

Conditions of Use

  • 1、 The ambient air temperature shall not exceed + 40 ℃, and shall not be lower than – 5 ℃, the relative humidity shall not exceed 90%, and a higher relative humidity is allowed at a lower temperature;
  • 2、 The relative temperature of the surrounding air shall not be higher than + 40 ℃;
  • 4、 The elevation of the installation site shall not exceed 2000m;
  • 5、 In a medium free from the danger of explosion, and in the medium there is no gas or steam enough to corrode metals and destroy insulation;
  • 6、 No violent vibration, impact or frequent change.
  • 9、 The circuit breaker and the grounding device may be installed and connected according to the instructions of the manufacturer or the product specifications;
  • 10、 The circuit breaker may be used together with the single-pole and multi-pole leakage protectors installed on it to form a composite leakage protection device.

 

Wiring Installation and Precautions

1. Installation environment:

The ambient air temperature shall be from – 5 ℃ to + 40 ℃, generally shall not exceed + 35 ℃; the 24-hour average temperature shall not exceed + 35 ℃, and the relative humidity of ambient air shall not exceed 50%.

2. Installation location:

When the circuit breaker is installed on the power inlet side, the switch end of the circuit breaker shall be reliably grounded, and the insulation resistance between the circuit breaker and the grounded metal frame shall be greater than 1000MΩ;

When the circuit breaker is installed on the power inlet side, it can not be grounded;

3. Conditions for use:

A circuit breaker shall be installed on a horizontal or vertical mounting surface. If this requirement cannot be met due to the limitation of the mounting position, the following measures may be taken:

(1) Auxiliary contacts shall be set up in proper places on the terminal board of the former distributor of the circuit breaker.
