What is a leakage circuit breaker?

Leakage circuit breaker, is used to prevent an electrical shock. When leakage occurs, a magnetic field is generated by the main contact, the dividing contact coil, the dividing contact coil and the main switch.

Leakage circuit breaker function: when the circuit short circuit or overload can be timely action, cut off the power supply.

When there is a leakage protector in the circuit, if leakage or overload fault occurs, leakage protector will not act and will send out sound and light alarm signal. No manual disconnection is required.

Main purposes:

1. Protecting personal safety in the event of leakage of household or collective electrical equipment.

2. It shall be installed in public places and flammable and explosive places (such as production workshops, warehouses, etc.) where people often move to prevent fire and other accidents caused by electricity leakage.

Cannot share a power source with other electrical equipment.

1. The leakage protection switch can quickly cut off the power supply in case of single-phase grounding short circuit or grounding fault in low-voltage power network, thus ensuring personal safety and protection equipment from being damaged.

2. In the event of simultaneous failure of the leakage protection switch and electrical equipment, the leakage fault on the electrical equipment can be selectively removed so as not to cause a complete loss of the power supply, thereby ensuring personal safety and preventing the expansion of electric shock accidents.

3. In a three-phase four-wire low-voltage power grid, when a single-phase grounding fault occurs, the power supply can be cut off rapidly and timely to prevent the expansion of the accident.

4. The selectivity of the leakage protection switch is very good due to its dual functions of overcurrent release (TN -C) and overload release (TT-B).

5. When two points of the motor are grounded due to personal electric shock or for some reason, the power supply can be cut off quickly and reliably.

Do not use single-phase electricity for lighting.

Installation of leakage protection: 1. The installation of leakage protector should comply with the relevant regulations, its location should be solid and reliable, and should be locked as required.

2. The rating of the leakage protector shall be determined by the user according to the specific use, but generally shall not exceed the safe working current (30mA).

3. The model and specification of the leakage protector shall be suitable for the connecting line.

4. The terminals of the leakage protector and both ends of the load line shall have good contact and shall be firm and reliable.

5. If it is found in use that the leakage protector has abnormal noise, temperature rise, abnormal hand feeling, etc., an electrician shall be timely found for inspection and repair.

6. Leakage protectors shall not be used for a long time and generally shall not be used for more than half a year. If it is necessary to continue to use such protectors, they shall be fully inspected before being used.

Cannot replace leakage circuit breaker with ordinary socket.

Because the ordinary socket itself metal shell and the insulation of the internal wires can not play a protective role, so when leakage occurs, electricity will enter the body through the socket, leading to electric shock accident.

When using a leakage circuit breaker, the following matters shall be noted:

1. Before installing a leaky circuit breaker, it is necessary to carefully check whether the appearance and connecting lines of the leaky circuit breaker are good and whether the wires used meet the specifications. To measure whether the zero sequence current value of the leakage circuit breaker is within the normal range, there should be no obvious abnormal phenomenon before the leakage circuit breaker operates.

2. When installing a leakage circuit breaker, attention shall be paid to the correct use of the fuse with rated current value and the power supply must be cut off before checking the leakage protector. Leakage circuit breakers should not be used if an external circuit enters the room or if a short-circuit fault occurs.

3. When installing a leaky circuit breaker, the circuit breaker shall be placed on a level and solid ground and be reliably grounded or zeroed.

4. After the installation, the leakage circuit breaker shall be regularly tested by cutting off the power supply, and if it can not be connected within 2 minutes, the power supply can be connected again.
